Blogging takes the mobile route

The folks over at Slashphone posted some wonderful news about mDog.com's new Mobile Blogging Portal. Forget wires, forget the whole computer since bloggers now have the freedom to browse and make updates to their blogs from just about anywhere.
So long as your phone has mobile browsing enabled, you can post to your blog, read other blogs and leave comments, as well as upload photos. It's a cool technology that lays yet another brick in the road to establishing new media as a standard practice.
This post also speaks volumes to the technological advancements that allow the mobile community to become much more consolidated as a source for information on the go. In new media PR, this provides a valuable bugget of wisdom to bring to our clients as it's another example of how accessbile blogs are in our ever-shrinking population.
Greater mobility means more access to your blog contacts, provided they like you enough to work with you over their cell phone of course, but I wonder how many bloggers will take mDog up on this and actually use the service to update their blogs? We shall see, and I plan to keep an eye on this trend.
